Reston Winterfest 2024 on December 5-7 from 5 to 9 p.m. will feature the Reston Community Center 🌲 in the Enchanted Forest. The creation will be Griffith Tso curated and installed with handmade center student and staff multi-media ornaments with an Inspired Learning theme and owl tree topper. Sakura+Seasons Art in Bloom public art exhibition for the 2021 National Cherry Blossom Festival now on permanent display on the concourse level of the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center on 13th and Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington DC; handpainted with latex paint on fiberglass with bamboo, orchids and chrysanthemums making up the sakura blossom.
APRIL 2022 12-foot kinetic dragonfly sculpture with a 25-foot wingspan of handpainted fabric and foam original sculpted head for the National Cherry Blossom Festival's Petalpalooza at the Navy Yard's Capitol Riverfront in Washington DC. Classes+Demos
Building a Foundation — Painting instruction is centered around developing strong fundamental brushstrokes so those learning can adapt Eastern style to any creative medium. Believing the classroom keeps artists humble and constantly learning, Griffith Tso teaches brushwork techniques on rice paper and pottery in workshop formats, public demos, weekly classes and private settings. Check Reston Community Center for Thursday morning class information and contact the artist with inquiries for workshops and one-on-one instruction. Demo and event listings are posted on Facebook.

Favorites — The artist recommends supplies from Oriental Art Supply in Huntington Beach, Ca. for excellent quality brushes, ink, paper and books.
