Kiln Club show, "Cultural Influences: East Meets West": Aug. 23 to Sept. 26, 2010 -- Influences from around the world surface in Kiln Club clay in tableware, decorative and sculptural forms. Griffith Tso teabowls, teapots and a selection of handpainted compositions on platters, bowls, wall tiles and more. Art Activated! at the Torpedo Factory: Sept. 11, 2010 -- Let your creative side play at this 4th annual event taking place during the Alexandria Festival of the Arts! Become a part of the creative process with hands-on projects, artist demonstrations, and special activities taking place from noon to 4 p.m. Potter and painter Tracie Griffith Tso will be demonstrating brushpainting techniques on pottery.
